Inspiring Creativity Through Robotics at Sankia Tech Learning Center

At Sankia Tech Learning Center, we’re excited to bring the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) program to K-12 students, combining the fun of LEGO® building with the challenges of real-world problem-solving and robotics. FIRST® LEGO® League empowers students to explore STEM, unleash their creativity, and develop skills in teamwork and critical thinking—all while having a blast designing and programming their own LEGO® robots.

What is FIRST® LEGO® League?

FIRST® LEGO® League is an internationally recognized robotics program that engages students in hands-on learning through challenges designed to inspire curiosity and innovation. The program is divided into three age-appropriate divisions:

  • Discover (Ages 4-6): Introduces young learners to the basics of STEM with playful, exploratory activities.
  • Explore (Ages 6-10): Encourages teamwork and problem-solving as students create LEGO® models with simple programming.
  • Challenge (Ages 9-16): Offers more advanced students the opportunity to design, build, and program robots to solve real-world problems, culminating in exciting competitions.

FIRST LEGO League - Challenge, FIRST Robotics, STEM Academy
Exploring Underwater Technology with FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge (2024-2025)

Ages 10-12 - Collaborate in teams to design, build, and program LEGO® robots to tackle real-world underwater challenges. - Take STEM-focused field trips to explore underwater technology in action, including visits to marine research centers, aquariums, and engineering facilities. - Engage in career exploration activities, learning about pathways in marine robotics, oceanography, and underwater engineering. The course kicks off on Friday, January 24, 2025 @ 5PM, and runs on Saturdays starting January 25, 2025 - May 31, 2025. Students will develop teamwork, critical thinking, and technical skills as they create their final projects, which will be showcased during a celebratory Closing Ceremony and Showcase.
