Dive Into the 2024-2025 FIRST LEGO League Season: Robotics Course Ages 6-12
Exploring Underwater Technology!
Get ready to dive deep into an ocean of innovation and discovery! We are thrilled to announce our 9-week FIRST® LEGO® League course for the 2024-2025 season, hosted at the STEM Innovation Learning Center (SILC) at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
This year’s exciting theme, Underwater Technology, will take students on a journey to explore how robotics and technology are transforming underwater exploration and engineering.
🌊 What’s in Store for Your Child?
Ages: 6-12 (with parent/adult supervision)
Children will team up to learn and apply critical STEM skills through hands-on LEGO® robotics challenges, fun-filled field trips, and career exploration activities in underwater technology.
Here’s what participants will experience:
- Team Collaboration: Work together to design, build, and program LEGO® robots to solve real-world underwater challenges.
- STEM-Focused Field Trips: Visit marine research centers, aquariums, and engineering facilities to see underwater technology in action.
- Career Exploration: Learn about pathways to exciting careers in marine robotics, oceanography, and underwater engineering.
📅 Course Details
Duration: January 10, 2025 – March 15, 2025
Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM ET (Field trip days end around 2:30 PM ET).
No classes will be held on February 21 & 22, 2025.
