FIRST® Robotics

Inspiring Future Innovators at Sankia Tech Learning Center

At Sankia Tech Learning Center, we are proud to be part of the FIRST® Robotics community—a global movement that combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Through our FIRST® Robotics programs, we empower K-12 students to dream big, think critically, and work collaboratively to solve real-world challenges using STEM principles.

Whether you’re a student eager to build and code robots or a mentor looking to inspire the next generation, our FIRST® Robotics program offers the tools, resources, and support to help you succeed.

What is FIRST® Robotics?

FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is an internationally recognized program that engages students in hands-on robotics competitions while fostering skills in teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving. FIRST® offers a progression of programs tailored to different age groups and experience levels:

  • FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL): For younger students (ages 4-14), introducing foundational STEM skills and teamwork through fun, creative challenges.
  • FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC): For middle and high school students, focusing on designing, building, and programming mid-sized robots for competition.
  • FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC): For high school students, offering a professional-level robotics experience where teams design and build complex robots for large-scale competitions.

Why Join Our FIRST® Robotics Program?

  • Hands-On Learning: Students gain real-world experience in engineering, programming, and teamwork by designing and building robots from the ground up.
  • Mentorship Opportunities: Our students work alongside experienced STEM professionals and educators who guide and inspire them throughout their journey.
  • Develop Key Skills: Participation in FIRST® Robotics fosters critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and leadership—skills that extend beyond the classroom.
  • Compete Globally: Students compete in thrilling regional, national, and international robotics events, showcasing their innovations on a global stage.
